As we write, we are planning out our last week in the U.S. before we leave. We will soon be in a whole new place, but the vision and prayer needs are already clear.
Throughout the fall of 2022, please keep us in your prayers in the following ways:
- That we will hold on to God’s call. That he will use us mightily in Korea. That we will not be confused or delayed by emotions that the enemy brings us such as fear, anxiety, worries. God is much greater that our worries and we know that fear is not from the Lord!
- For our first son, Ernest (19) who is staying behind in Louisiana to continue his studies at LSU. We ask for prayer that he will adjust well to being independent, and that he will love God and serve God with his whole heart. If the Holy Spirit has his ear, we know we do not need to worry!
- For Elizabeth (17) and Joshua (8) to adjust well to our new location and community, to make lots of friends and connections. Elizabeth will finish her senior year in high school with online home schooling, and Joshua will start school in the Korean public school system. Pray for Joshua to catch up with language quickly. Also, we pray that they can serve with us and see God moving in and through our partnership with God’s work.
- For our home renovation. Housing in Korea is ridiculously expensive and so tiny. We cannot at the moment afford anything nice that is in the area, and there are very few properties of an adequate size for our family. Therefore, we have decided to remodel one of the older homes that belong to the ministry that needs renovation. Pray that we will be able to meet skilled workers that are honest, efficient, and affordable. Pray that they will help us turn our house into a sanctuary for our family where we can rest and call it a home.
- Continue to pray for our vision and for the Holy Spirit to guide us into the right strategies at the right time.
Once again, thank you so much for investing your prayer time to hold us up before God!
