Abraham grew up on the mission field in Honduras in the 1980s and 90s. His formative years there taught him to be flexible and culturally adaptable. At 16, in a discipleship class, he fully turned over his life to Christ as his Lord. This was the start to his life-long passion for God and for discipleship. He soon began a discipleship program in the local church that impacted people who are serving God to this day.
In college, he excelled in computer science, his other life-long passion. He met Gloria there, and they married in 2001 just a year out of college, a wonderful blessing! While working, he continued to study at night and earned a Master in Software Engineering in 2006. His rewarding career in IT included stints at research companies, startups, and large corporations. His roles have included programmer, software architect, recruiter, proposal writer, team lead, and consultant.
Abraham always felt God’s calling on his life, but first supported Gloria in her calling for the first decade of their marriage. In his 30s, he began working on his Master of Divinity, and completed in 2021. While doing so, he served as a youth pastor for a Korean-American church, started a men’s prayer group, and began helping the local church with missions. Most recently, he has taught at a small Bible college and enjoyed mentoring the young leaders there.
With this diverse background, Abraham has been uniquely equipped to take on the challenge to cross cultures, learn new things, and launch new initiatives as he and Gloria follow God’s dreams for His kingdom!
