Why is the Fowler family moving to Korea?

We are truly an international family. Abraham is from the United States, but grew up in Honduras; Gloria is South Korean but grew up in India. Although we have lived in the U.S. since college, we have traveled to Korea frequently to visit Gloria’s family. We have continued to study Korean as a family and keep in touch with this part of our heritage.

But yes, moving there is still a huge step for us!

And we had to ask ourselves this question. Why couldn’t we do the ministry we are envisioning somewhere else? Why not in the United States, for example?

In short, it comes down to the opportunity to build on Gloria’s father’s ministry, following the calling and burden God has placed in our lives to reach the next generations, especially in Korea but also around the world. We have a strong passion for discipleship and generations in general, but feel particularly called to the needs of the Korean people in this time in the church’s history. And Gloria’s father’s ministry is a unique launching pad that God will use to accomplish His vision.
