Our plans have been a bit scrambled this summer due to several factors, including a slower real estate market than we hoped (we had our house on the market). But finally, after prayer, preparations, and a summer road trip to visit Abraham’s extended family, we have a date, and the tickets are booked! We will be flying one-way to Korea on August 22.
Saying yes to God and to following God’s guidance comes with sacrifices. Part of this process for us has been not only saying goodbye to our family and friends for the time being, but giving up jobs, our home, our belongings, even giving up our dear pet. We have moved so many times following God’s call, but this move definitely has been the hardest emotionally. Perhaps it is something about crossing the ocean, going to another nation, and also leaving the country where we established our family for the past 21 years. It’s amazing how we can become so comfortable with the way things are. However, we know that when we trust God with our earthly things and follow God, God has so much greater things in store for us. We are claiming that promise and following God in obedience and with faith!
Please pray for all details to be finalized well in the coming days before we leave, and that the trip will be uneventful and even restful! Also please pray for Ernest as he stays in Louisiana to start his second year of college at LSU. Thank you!
